Small-staff CEOs SIG
Message from SIG Chair Edward VanHorn: I hope you will join us next Tuesday for an especially intriguing Small Association SIG program that focuses on business policies and procedures -- and what you must do to be in compliance with regulations that relate to email, data backup, and file storage systems.
Did you know:
- that you could be personally held liable for lost data?
- that you can be fined and/or imprisoned if you can't produce records known to have existed at one time?
- that you must retain emails and other documentation for a number of years and be able to produce them in a timely manner if ordered by a court?
Our expert will be Cliff Rhodenizer Jr., president of Rhodenizer IT/Information Technology Services.
The meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m. on December 6, and will end by 1 p.m. The program will be held in the first floor conference room at the Southern Newspaper Publishers Association offices at Building G, 5775 Peachtree-Dunwoody Road. Directions follow.
As always, there is no charge to attend. Bring your bag lunch, come armed with questions, and go home with useful answers.
Hope to see you next Tuesday!
