Have you ever been to a bad meeting? What made it bad? If you're like most people, your answer is "lack of organization," "not knowing what you were voting on," "the meeting got highjacked by one or two members" or "nothing got done." Learn some basic tips to resolve these, and other issues at your next meeting.

Topics covered include:
· Fundamental Principles of Parliamentary Procedure
· Governing Documents
· The Agenda
· Making a Motion
· The Rules of Debate
This session is appropriate for association executives, presiding officers, members, and staff.

Presenter: Kay Allison Crews, CPP, PRP is the President of the American Institute of Parliamentarians, one of two national organizations for professional parliamentarians in North America.  She teaches parliamentary procedure professionally as Instructor for the Introduction to Parliamentary Procedure: Dynamics of Leadership course offered by the University of Wisconsin Independent Learning department. She also teaches face-to-face classes across the country for many organizations.
