CAEs after dark - in the morning

The CAEs After Dark program, sponsored by GSAE, accomplishes three goals:
•    To provide an opportunity to acquire validated CAE renewal hours;
•    To promote professional growth through guided readings and dialogue;
•    To encourage networking throughout the association membership.

The CAEs After Dark meetings are virtual and provide 1 CAE credit hour per meeting. This gathering constitutes a “preplanned in-depth group study of specific association management topic(s) with interaction between a minimum of three participants from different organizations [and earns] 1 CAE credit for each clock hour, up to a maximum of 20 hours per CAE [renewal] application.” (ASAE CAE renewal information)

The first few minutes of each meeting are reserved for rapid introductions of the participants and an overview of the methodology used to discuss the materials for the meeting. Generally, conversation will include the following:
•    Introductions of participants (5 min)
•    A quick summary of content for the discussion (10 min)
•    Conversation about content to lead to deeper understanding of the material (20 min)
•    Thoughts about how to apply the content to effect growth (20 min)
•    Wrap up, review, and accountability efforts (5 min)

Credit for attendance is only granted based on attendance of the full meeting; partial attendance of an evening’s session will result in no credit. GSAE will record credit hours for participants who attend according to GSAE’s normal procedure for tracking attendance. Participants must be members of GSAE who have earned their CAE. Participants are responsible for reviewing the material prior to the meeting.

Meeting Credit:

The attendee list will be sent to GSAE and your attendance and CAE credit will be recorded in your profile, generally within about two weeks of the meeting.

Zoom Meeting info will be sent prior to the event.
