Virtual events have been gaining in popularity in the
past few years, and yet the past few weeks have put them under a whole new
spotlight. Although many in-person events are being converted to the virtua
l space out of necessity, it’s important to remember that this
is an opportunity to deliver a valuable experience for members as well! While we have ye
ars of experience executing in-person events, how can we prepare for the vi
rtual implications? We encourage you to join us for a free (virtual!) event
on March 31. Hosted by our friends a
t Matchbox Virtual Media, we will join fellow state association societies’
peers to explore how virtual events c
an meet our associations’ needs. The
event speakers will each bring a varied perspective on optimizing for engag
ement in your event design and will provide you with the tools to make the switch without losing the value of your content. An attendee chat will run
alongside the video sessions, so you can hear from your fellow peers about
how they are navigating these brave new waters. Bring your event-related questions and experiences, and em
brace the collective knowledge that will be coming together.
