GSAE volunteers truly do the work of the organization. We understand your time is valuable, and we strive to make volunteer service convenient and rewarding. From welcoming new members to helping experienced ones prepare for the CAE exam, planning the education programming to making recommendations to the Board of Directors, GSAE volunteers are integral to GSAE's success as a welcoming and supportive environment for professionals to flourish.

Meet & Greet

Arrives early and stays late at GSAE events to ensure members feel welcomed, connected and informed by greeting attendees, handing out name tags, and being human arrows. Active Months: February, April, Annual Meeting, July, September, December.

New Member Welcome & Orientation

Participates in orientation sessions for new and potential members at GSAE events and the Annual Meeting. Active Months: February, April, May, July, September.

Welcome Warriors

Formerly known as the Peer Connections committee, GSAE Welcome Warriors contact new members via phone and email and invites them to luncheons, workshops, annual meetings. Acts as the "point person" for questions and the promotion of GSAE activities. Active Year Round: January – December.

Table Hosts

Facilitates new connections and conversations about issues of interest by serving as the host to luncheon and annual meeting attendees. Active Months: February, April, May, July, September, December.

 
CERTIFIED ASSOCIATION EXECUTIVE (CAE) STUDY GROUP

For those willing to serve as facilitators, invitations will be sent in February for the summer sessions. Active Months: July, August and September. For those preparing to take the CAE exam, GSAE offers access to several prep programs. TBD.

Professional Development

SILENT AUCTION

Solicits donations for 2 silent auctions – Holiday Luncheon and Annual Meeting - through calls, emails and in person. Active Months: Late Spring; late Fall

Super Supplier council

Serves as a conduit for design ideas of the annual meeting track for corporate supplier attendees and any other issues arising of concern to our supplier members. The Council will offer occasional discussion groups after quarterly luncheons as requested. Active Months: 2 meetings in 2023. Potential for in-person meeting at the Annual Meeting. Up to 2 conference calls.

Membership work group

Implements targeted membership marketing plan to attract new members and retain current members. Members will focus on both engagement and recruitment. Active Months: January – April and September – October.
